Director Selvaraghavan and Sonia Agarwal applied For a Divorce

Tamil cinema’s top director Selvaraghavan and his wife an one time actress Sonia Agarwal has split and have applied for a Divorce by Mutual Consent .Many people who are around with them say they had been drifting apart during the last one and half years. This happenned because Selva has an affair with singer and actress Andrea who was doing Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan . One day during the shoot of the film in Hyderabad, Sonia is reported to have done into the sets and slapped Andrea for having an affair with her husband Selvaraghavan !

Many friends tried to interefere in this matter and save the marriage, but it was too late as the relationship was going downhill. Selvaraghavan was not keen that Sonia continues her career as actress and made his displeasure clear when she started doing a television serial in Kalaignar Tv . For the last one month, they have been living separately.

Selva and Sonia got officially married in style on December 15, 2006 at Rajah Muthiah Chettiyar Hall in Egmore, Chennai in the presence of 'Super Star' Rajinikanth and attended by the who's who of Kollywood.

Selva first met Sonia in early 2002, when he signed her up for his path breaking Kadhal Konden, opposite his brother Dhanush.

Director kannan , once an associate of director Mani Ratnam has remade hindi blockbuster "JAB WE MET" into "Kanden kadhalai" while Moser Baer and Blue Ocean Entertainment jointly produce the film with Bharath and Thamannah donning lead roles.

Director of the Original Jab We Met Mr Imtiaz Ali has been invited for the audio launch.His recent release ‘Love Aaj Kal’ has witnessed tremendous record-breaking collections in Chennai box office overshadowing other Tamil releases.

The occasion will have more filmmakers addressing his significance and unique style of filmmaking. ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ fame Vikram K Kumar will also share the dais with Imtiaz along with mainstream filmmakers of Tamil industry. It’s notable that cinematographer Natraj Subramaniam, who delivered fantabulous visuals for both the films of Imtiaz.

Vishal to act in Cheran's "Paaraseega Roja "

Undeterred by Thoranai's failure at the box office, Vishal has quickly moved on to his next venture Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai, the shooting for which began in Pallavaram recently. This movie which is being directed by Thiru has three heroines -- Neetu Chandra, Tanushree Dutta and Sarah Jane Dias, a former Miss India-World 2007. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for this movie and Vishal who is all praise for the composer says that he is eager to shake a leg to these peppy numbers.

Meanwhile, sources say that the actor is soon teaming up with Director Cheran for a film titled "Paaraseega Roja" which is said to be an action-romance film that will be entirely shot in Dubai.

Priyadarshan keen to remake "Anjathe" in Hindi

Priyadarshan is famous for his penchant for making remakes. The ace director is now keen on making Mysskin's critically-acclaimed Anjathe in Hindi. The grapevine has it that Priyadarshan made this request while having a sneek peek of Mysskin's Nandalala, planned for a September release.

Eventually, Priyadarshan has requested Mysskin to sell the remake rights of his film ‘Anjathey’ in Hindi. The original version directed by Mysskin had Narain, Ajmal, Prasanna and Vijayalakshmi in lead roles. The film witnessed grand success in Kollywood Box office.

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan's Khatta Meeta, marking Trisha's foray into Hindi, is likely to roll on from October. Trisha is reported to have zoomed off to Australia for a 40-day shoot for an untitled Telugu venture opposite Venkatesh.
