Amy Jackson, the British beauty queen who's co-starring with Arya in Madraspattinam fainted on the sets while shooting in the city at Mohan Studios recently.She was ealier crowned as MISS TEEN WORLD 2009.
The film, set in Chennai in 1945, focuses on the turbulent love affair between a Madrasi boy and an English memsaab.
Arya has a very different `look' for the film, directed by Vijay (of Kireedam fame) which was shot extensively in and around Mysore during the first schedule. The unit moved to Chennai last week to shoot some scenes at the special sets erected at Mohan Studios. On Monday, a scene between Arya and Amy had just been canned when the English girl suddenly collapsed. She was rushed to Apollo Hospital, where her condition was diagnosed as nothing more serious than a reaction to the intense heat of Chennai, accompanied by dehydration.
