Producer Hitesh Jabak, has decided to be bold and daring.
He has decided to release his eagerly awaited Cheran’s Pokkisham on Aug 14, for the Independence Day weekend.
The film is to be censored on August 8, and publicity campaign will start immediately.
It clearly means that Pokkisham will clash with Vikram’s big budget Susi Ganeshan directed Kalaipuli S.Dhanu produced extravaganzaKanthaswamy releasing on August 15!
For Cheran it is a very important film, coming after that colossal flop Mayakannadi. The film has Cheran and Padmapriya as lovers, with very good music by Sabesh Murali.
Cheran in an interview has stated that Pokkisham revolves around a very special letter that the hero cherishes.
Says Cheran: “ It’s a simple love story set in the 1970s, when there were no cell phones, SMS’s or e-mails. Writing letters was the best way to express love by two people separated by many miles.”
